Edit: Not sure why the link is locked, but I'll just paste the Proposal here:

Edit, from Sam: I took your player unit/bacteria table and copied them to Bacteria and Nanobots. I figure if we need to add, edit, or remove details or units it'll be easier to do from self-contained pages than trudging through the proposal each time we want to do it. Also because I have nothing better to do but OCD sort this stuff and pretend it's important

IntroductionEdit

Bacterium is a tower-defense style strategy game for Android. In Bacterium, players play the role of a medical nanobot, coordinating with other nanobots to manage an infected area of cells. In each round, the player can manage their nanobots within the infected area. At the end of the round, the infection(s) have a limited time to spread. The player must prevent the infection from filling the playing field.

Core GameplayEdit

Playing FieldEdit

The playing field in Bacterium consists of an array of cells.

UnitsEdit

There are several units available for purchase during the setup phase of each round. Players receive credits based on how many units they have on the field for each second of the combat phase of each round. They can be placed on any non-infected cell. They have unique properties for health, their area of attack, and their strength of attack. Below is a table of the units available in the game:

Enemy units in Bacterium are different types of bacteria. They each have their own unique stats for spread rate, spread pattern, health, and damage. In each new stage, new forms of bacteria may randomly appear on the playing field. Below is a table that outlines the different types of Bacteria in the game:

RoundsEdit

Gameplay in Bacterium takes place in rounds. The first round is the setup phase. During this time, the player can pay credits to purchase new units and place them on non-infected cells, or to repair units already on the playfield. At the completion of the setup phase, the game shifts to the combat phase. During this time, bacteria spread according to their spread pattern and rate, and nanobots on the field attack according to their attack pattern. The length of combat round time increases with the total number of rounds that the player completes. The game ends when the entire playfield has been overrun with bacteria, and the player receives an ending score based upon the total number of rounds they completed, as well as credits earned, and units utilized.
